Best known as the Mighty Eagle of Rovio, Peter Vesterbacka has been listed among the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine. After having worked on Angry Birds for multiple years, Vesterbacka left Rovio in 2016 for the role of Brand Breaker at Lightneer, which he co-founded in 2015. Thanks to his many business ventures at SLUSH, MobileMonday and Lightneer among many others, Vesterbacka is regarded by many as the father of the Nordic start-up revolution. This trailblazer is the one you do not want to miss. In his own words: "Nothing can stop us from being the best in the world, if we only want it".
After graduating from the Helsinki School of Economics in 1997 with a Master's in organisation and management, Mervi Pänkäläinen went on to found Mightifier in 2015. Mightifier is a positive education application and method to help students master their social and emotional skills. She created Mightifier alongside Finnish students and teachers. The app has been certified by EdTech and has won numerous prizes such as first place at SLUSH Japan 2016. Today Pänkäläinen works as the CEO of Mightifier and is known for her innovative approach, positive interaction and encouraging personality. Look out for her sparkling dialogue on the main stage.
Around the age of 22, Riku Asikainen founded two companies one of which was a bookstore for high school students in Finland. He then went on to spend three years as a voluntary consultant in Tanzania in the beginning of the 2000's. Soon afterwards he spent another three years in France, where he founded the largest textbook distributor in the country. His career as an angel investor took off after he sold his bookstore in Finland to Sanoma WSOY. Today Asikainen is the best known in Finland for his role as an investor on the show Shark Tank (Leijonan luola). We are excited to be there when this driven investor shares his ideas ans experiences on the main stage of FallUp 2018.
Mika Anttonen is the founder of St1. Anttonen has managed to grow the St1 group from zero to one of the biggest fuel companies in Europe in only twenty years. Even after all the success he still feels a hunger to make a positive impact and tackle the challenges of our era.
Anttonen is known as the advocate of renewable energy, actively developing more sustainable energy sources tofill the energy needs of the future.
Despite the young age of 21, Perttu Pölönen has already been awarded as the most creative Finn in 2017. Pölönen is the founder of Musiclock. She is the founder and CEO of Testlio, an expert community of verified mobile testers and a QA management platform. Kruustük and her co-founder are also winners of the world’s largerst hackaton, AngelHack.
